Kathmandu Valley delivery: what reaches when
Inside the valley, a uniform order can move in a day. Outside it, the map starts to matter more than the order.

Delivery inside Kathmandu Valley is the easy case. Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur sit close enough together that a courier can collect in the morning and hand over the same evening. Most single orders inside the ring road land within one to two working days.
That is not because the valley is special. It is because the distance is short and the addresses are known.
The moment an order leaves the valley, three things change at once. The road, the weather and the number of hands the parcel passes through.
The Prithvi Highway toward Pokhara is reliable in the dry months and unpredictable in the monsoon. Landslides close sections for hours, sometimes for a day. A parcel that left Dhanusha on Monday can sit in Mugling on Tuesday and arrive on Thursday. Nobody is at fault in that chain, but a ward that expected uniforms for a Monday shift needs to know it.
The East West Highway toward Biratnagar, Itahari and Dharan is longer but flatter. It usually behaves. The Karnali and Sudurpashchim routes are the ones that need the most planning, because the last stretch is often a district road rather than a highway.
Our rule is simple. We tell you the dispatch date, not a promise about arrival, because the second half of the journey is not ours to control. For anything urgent, we would rather you order early than pay for an express service that still has to cross the same hill.
One practical thing helps more than anything else. Give us a phone number that will actually be answered on the day of delivery. Most failed deliveries we see are not lost parcels. They are parcels that arrived when nobody was there to take them.
If you are ordering for a hospital, send it to the stores department with a named contact, not to the front desk.
Need this measured properly?
Send your numbers, or book a call and we will take them with you.
